New Restaurant Bari Brings a Healthy Twist to Nyack

Clarisa Punla Rockland County

With holiday feasts in full force over the next few weeks, giving your belly a fighting chance at bouncing back is very necessary.  Our solution? A post-pig-out visit to Nyack’s new restaurant Bari for a fresh-squeezed, full-body boost that’ll keep our energy levels up and our eating pants at bay.

Newly opened, this full-service juice bar and café is a healthy haven for all kinds of delicious and nutritious elixirs, smoothies, organic bowls, and lunchtime favorites that’ll leave you feeling full and fabulous—without the food coma. We’ve dropped in more than a few times now and have found it to be the perfect pit stop before embarking on some serious holiday shopping.

Bari’s refrigerator is not only filled with an array of fresh-squeezed, organic juices but also a number of prepared foods like creamy hand-made hummus served with carrot and celery sticks, kale salads, broccoli slaw, soba noodles, and more. At the counter, you can choose from a selection of even more made-to-order juice blends ($9 a pop), organic smoothies ($10 each), not-too-sweet smoothie bowls ($12 each), and fresh-baked falafel dishes ($6.50-$9.50), compliments of mega-talented owner, Chef Daniel, who claims his young son, Kobe, is Bari’s biggest fan.

We think he’s going to have some competition for that title soon enough.
